From Pretoria:

  • Take the N4 toll road direction west out of Pretoria. Note that this is the N4 leaving from midtown Pretoria West (Fresh produce market as reference point) and not the N4 via Ga-Rankuwa
  • After the second toll gate the N4 ends, at the T-junction on top of the bridge, turn right
  • As approaching a four-way stop, take the left hand slipway towards Hartbeespoort/Brits/Rustenburg. Continue for 1km.
  • Drive up the mountain for 2 km until you are right on top, signage reads SAARTJIES NEK. This is where you see the Hartbeespoort dam for the first time.
  • On your right is a tar service road (approximately 200 metres long), turn right onto it. If you missed it, go down the hill and turn around at a safe place!
  • On the service road, you will see a beige freight container with SUNPLACE signage on it and a road next to it.
  • Follow this road up to where the cement tracks end in a circle and turn RIGHT
  • Follow the road (100 metres) to the double storey building cladded with solar on your right and SUNPLACE’s Logo on the building.

From Johannesburg (via R511 – Sandton/Fourways):

Take the R511 from Sandton/Fourways towards Hartbeespoort (North)

  • Drive all the way through Hennopsriver to the big four way stop close to the N4
  • At the four-way stop, carry on straight towards Hartbeespoort/Brits/Rustenburg
  • Carry on straight over the next four way stop
  • Drive up the mountain for 2 km until you are right on top, signage reads SAARTJIES NEK. This is where you see the Hartbeespoort dam for the first time.
  • On your right is a tar service road (approximately 200 metres long), turn right onto it. (If you missed it, go down the hill and turn around at a safe place!)
  • On the service road, you will see a beige freight container with SUNPLACE signage on it and a road next to it.
  • Follow this road up to where the cement tracks end and turn RIGHT
  • Follow the road (100 metres) to the double storey building cladded with solar on your right and SUNPLACE’s Logo on the building.

From Pretoria West (Van der Hoff road)

  • At the foot of Silkaatsnek, take the R511 Sandton slipway left
  • Drive until the 4 way stop, Total garage on your left, take the slipway left, direction R511 Sandton
  • Drive for approx. 5 km, pass Jasmyn on your right, De Vette Mossel Restaurant on your left, up the hill of Saartjies Nek
  • On your left is a slipway, a tar service road (approximately 200 metres long), turn onto it. If you missed it, go down the hill and turn around at a safe place!
  • On the service road, you will see a beige freight container with SUNPLACE signage on it and a road next to it.
  • Follow this road up to where the cement tracks end in a circle and turn RIGHT
  • Follow the road (100 metres) to the double storey building cladded with solar on your right and SUNPLACE’s Logo on the building.

From Johannesburg (via R512 – Randburg/Lanseria):

  • Take the R512 from Randburg towards Hartbeespoort (North)
  • Drive all the way past Lanseria Airport to the big T-junction close to Pelindaba
  • Turn right towards Pretoria. Pass all Pelindaba gates.
  • At the four way stop turn left onto the slipway. Go over the N4 toll road
  • As approaching a four-way stop, take the left hand slipway towards Hartbeespoort/Brits/Rustenburg. Continue for 1km.
  • Drive up the mountain for 2 km until you are right on top, signage reads SAARTJIES NEK. This is where you see the Hartbeespoort dam for the first time.
